We were getting some refurbishment work done to the rear of our property when the builder noticed a suspicious material to our facia and soffit boards, we contacted SF Analytical and got a quick response. They sampled the material immediately and sent it to an independent analytical company for identification. When the result came back positive the next day, SF Analytical removed the Asbestos cement board the same day safely and professionally to allow my builders to continue with there work schedule.

SAFETY AND COMPLIANCE
All surveys are conducted by fully BOHS-compliant surveyors who follow regulated safety procedures to minimise exposure risks. We carefully handle and dispose of all asbestos materials according to established guidelines. Protective measures and controlled removal techniques are applied to every task, including handling fragile or damaged materials. We assess each property thoroughly to ensure removal can proceed safely. This approach safeguards occupants, staff, and the surrounding environment, maintaining a controlled and methodical approach to every project.
DANGERS OF ASBESTOS EXPOSURE
Exposure to asbestos carries long-term health risks, as signs of mesothelioma may not appear until 30 to 40 years after contact. In addition to lung cancer and mesothelioma, asbestos exposure can lead to cancers of the larynx and ovaries, and evidence suggests links to cancers of the pharynx, stomach, and colorectum. We prioritise careful handling and removal to reduce risk. Comprehensive surveys, safe removal, and responsible disposal are essential steps in protecting health and minimising potential long-term consequences.
